Childhood cancer is a significant issue, contributing to 40% of all cancer cases in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Globally, around 400,000 children develop cancer each year. While cure rates exceed 80% in high-income countries, they fall below 30% in low- and middle-income countries due to barriers like misdiagnosis, late diagnosis, and limited treatment access.

Standard therapies include surgery, chemotherapy, and radiotherapy, with a multidisciplinary approach being crucial for recovery and long-term care.
